Metric Engineering, a full-service civil engineering firm, aimed to boost their social media presence, with a focus on LinkedIn. Their goal was to ensure they remained competitive and not overshadowed by larger firms with more prominent profiles.

Content Creation

In an effort to reach new audiences and increase engagement, I diversified the company's LinkedIn content by introducing new and varied post formats.

Each post required careful planning, research, design, and caption creation. Once I had these elements finalized, I scheduled their publication via Hootsuite.

Quote Carousel

Uploading a PDF to LinkedIn enabled me to create the illusion of a carousel featuring employee quotes, which helped to personify the company and showcase its culture.

The Process

  1. Defined the post topic and outlined relevant questions to be asked

  2. Researched the appropriate employees to contact and sent them a Google Form with the questions

  3. Reviewed the responses and selected quotes to include in the post

  4. Designed the various slides and exported them as a PDF

  5. Crafted an accompanying caption

  6. Scheduled the post for publication

Understanding engineering concepts can be daunting, so I introduced GIFs on Metric’s LinkedIn to visually break down and simplify these complex ideas.
